Advanced 2D Digital Animation
This course will take place at Austin School of Film in our iMac computer lab. All materials, equipment, software, and computer provided for the duration of the class. Students will leave class with a brand new Wacom tablet to continue building on their skills they learn in this course.
In this course, students will learn and cover advanced animation topics over the course of a weekend with award-winning animator Jeanne Stern.
Students will learn hands-on completing a series of animated short films applying the knowledge learned as well as take a more in-depth look into software Adobe Animate CC.

Lip Sync
Animating from Video Reference
Wave Movement
Real-life tips & tricks from award-winning animator Jeanne Stern
Access to:

Following the footsteps of our Intro to 2D Animation course, students will dive deeper into the world of 2D digital animation, going beyond the fundamentals.
This course will take place at Austin School of Film in our iMac computer lab. All materials, equipment, software, and computer provided for the duration of the class. Students will leave class with a brand new Wacom tablet to continue building on their skills they learn in this course.
INSTRUCTOR: Jeanne Stern is a creative professional and multi-platform artist in digital media, animation, film, video and editing currently working and living in Austin, Texas. Her past work has screened at a variety of festivals and galleries around global including: PBS, The Smithsonian, South by Southwest and Heather Henson's traveling Film Festival. She holds an MFA in Film from the University of Texas and a BA in Studio Art from Connecticut College. She has been teaching both youth and adults within digital art creation and instruction for the past 5+ years including teaching at the University of Texas (Austin).
PRE-REQUISITES: Those who have completed Intro to 2D Animation or have the equivalent skill set and those interested in gaining an in-depth education on digital animation and it's creation. *Students must be at least 16 years old to take this class.
SUPPLIES: Students will be responsible for bringing a USB hard drive for their completed projects or works-in-progress.
CERTIFICATE: ASoF Digital Video Certificate elective class.
PAYMENT PLANS: Payment plans are available to anyone for any class or workshop. We suggest 25% of the tuition price as your “down payment”. The additional balance can then be split in up to 1-4 equal payments over the course of weeks or months. This course and all Austin School of Film courses are certified with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to provide Continue Professional Educational (CPE) credits.
