Meet Apollo The Pug
Apollo has been a member of the Motion Media Art Center’s family since 2012. He was adopted by MMAC’s Education & Program’s Director Faiza Kracheni in May of 2012 at a little over a year old. He has joined us during screenings, made surprise visits at our award-winning summer camps, a few cameos in youth student films, and today, he decided it was time to get to work! Meet Star Trek Director Nicholas Meyer
Join Other Worlds Austin and Austin School of Film for an in-depth screenwriting workshop from 2019 Other Worlds Defender of the Universe Awardee, Nicholas Meyer. Nicholas Meyer is an American writer and director, known for his best-selling novel The Seven-Per-Cent Solution and for directing the films Time After Time, two of the Star Trek feature film series, the 1983 television movie The Day After, and the 1999 HBO original movie Vendetta.
Cinema Obscura Creates Unique Media Experiences For The Community
Our 2019 showcase featured three independent multimedia artists work produced in conjunction with Austin School of Film's Experimental Media Department during East Austin Studio Tour 2019. Cecilia Yakin, Heather Olson, and Marcus Rosen all created, produced ,and curated new work as part of our Experimental Filmmaking II 8-week production-based course. 99% of materials used in this exhibition were recycled, thrifted, or repurposed.
